CDCP at Dentistry On The Path

Affordable dental care for eligible Canadians.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a government-funded program designed to make dental care more accessible and affordable for eligible Canadians. If you qualify, the plan helps cover essential dental services to support your oral health. We proudly accept CDCP patients and provide quality care.

Who is Eligible for the CDCP?

You may be eligible for the CDCP if you:

Do not have private dental insurance

This means you are not covered by a workplace or personal dental plan.

Income Threshold

Your annual adjusted family net income is less than $90,000.

Are a Canadian resident

You must live in Canada and meet residency requirements.

Have filed your tax return for the previous year

A recent tax return is required to verify eligibility.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is available to eligible Canadians of all ages who do not have access to dental insurance, have an adjusted family net income below $90,000, are Canadian residents for tax purposes, and have filed their most recent tax return.

What Does the CDCP Cover?

The CDCP covers a range of preventive and essential dental treatments, including:

  • Examinations and X-rays
  • Cleanings and fluoride treatments
  • Fillings for cavities
  • Root canal treatments on select teeth
  • Extractions when necessary
  • Partial and complete dentures

Coverage details vary based on the type of procedure and your eligibility under the plan. Depending on your adjusted family net income, you may be responsible for a co-payment, and some services may require preauthorization. Additional out-of-pocket expenses may apply if treatment fees exceed CDCP reimbursement levels or if services are not covered by the plan.

Please note: At Dentistry on the Path, we follow the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) fee guide. Any costs beyond what is covered by the CDCP may result in out-of-pocket expenses for patients.

How to Apply for the CDCP

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is open to eligible Canadians who meet the program requirements. Applications and renewals are managed through the Government of Canada and Service Canada.

For the latest details and application instructions, visit the official Canada Dental Care Plan website.

Important: CDCP coverage is not automatically renewed each year. Members must renew their coverage annually and continue to meet all eligibility requirements to maintain uninterrupted benefits.
